Switching from an Australian insurer?

If you're switching, we will honour any waiting periods already served with your previous insurer. We can cancel your cover and get your clearance certificate from your existing health insurer.

Do you authorise AIA Health Insurance to cancel your membership with your existing health insurer?*

If you do not authorise us to cancel your policy on your behalf, you will need to cancel your policy with your previous health insurer and send your Clearance Certificate to us at ovhc.memberservices@aia.com.au. This Certificate outlines details of your previous cover, including any waiting periods you’ve served, the type of cover you held and your claims history. You can start claiming on services that you’re eligible for as soon as we receive this certificate.
